Medical marijuana State
Is Medical marijuana legal in New York? Not yet.
How to get medical marijuana in New York or any state would be easy if you, the person who is reading this, would just DO THIS ONE SIMPLE THING!
If you do nothing else, click this link and call your Senate Conference Leader Sampson!
Even if you don’t know anyone who needs medical marijuana for medical reasons, you never know when someone will.
If you happen to be someone who is against marijuana for medical reasons, you know that there are already legal medications available, please take the time to learn about the legitimate reasons why some people disagree with you.
Of course it’s absolute hearsay when you’re arguing against someone who isn’t speaking from personal experience. Here is a good place to start your research on people who speak of their own personal reasons of legalized marijuana laws for the state of New York. http://www.mpp.org/states/new-york/patients/
After your research, you to may be asking about how to get medical marijuana card and desire legalized marijuana for medical use for yourself.
As you know, New York is not a Medical marijuana State, so you will definitely want to be proactive in letting your Senate know what YOU want.
If you don’t feel that you have the words to inform the Senate that you want legalized marijuana for medical use, you will be happy to know that a script is provided for you, along with the phone number so that you may contact Senate Conference Leader Sampson’s office.
Marijuana legalized for medical purposes as prescribed by a physician, should be at a physician’s discretion, just like any other drug.
I use marijuana for medical reasons. It’s an amazing pain reliever and muscle relaxant all in one for me.
Percocets and Vicodin are legal pain relievers, by prescription. However, on the occasions that I’ve been prescribed those narcotics, while very helpful, I have found myself feeling anxious, when my physician stopped the drugs. And these were only after a period of a few weeks. I can only imagine what it’s like to have been on them for a longer period of time.
I’ve also seen how having prescriptions for opiates can turn an otherwise law abiding citizen into a drug dealer. And how people who took these drugs, initially under a doctor’s orders have become criminals because, the patient no longer has the original issues for which the prescription was given.
Of course that could be thought to be the case with marijuana as well. The difference is, how many people have you even heard of , overdosing, on marijuana? I’ve known people who have almost died from alcohol toxicity, but never, have I even heard of this happening to someone with marijuana.
Based on that fact alone, legalized marijuana in the United States would make more sense than legalized alcohol.
But let’s not even consider legalized marijuana in the United States for any other purpose, at this moment let’s just go for legalized marijuana for medical use, for all of us. While the benefits of the cannabis plant are plentiful, please, take the time to pick up the phone and let it be known, that the people of New York State care about taking care of those with pain and other discomforts.
While your drug of choice may be a prescription for Oxycontin, let those who would benefit from marijuana and/or would prefer marijuana have marijuana for medical reasons.
